Slopes

There are 26 marked pistes on Hliðarfjall that are all in use when conditions allow. On the piste map runs are marked in different colours that indicate difficulty/steepness. Green are for beginners, blue are easy runs, red are for intermediate and black extreme. Purple indicates cross country trails.

The ski area has a vertical drop of 455 meters and the longest trail is more than 2.5 km. It is equipped with 7 ski lifts and 23 alpine slopes. “Snow cannons” ensure an early opening of the season, which extends from the end of November until early May. For those who enjoy skiing during the shortest days of the year there are flood lights that make night skiing possible.
