All uphill traffic above Strýta lodge is banned from the 6th of august because of construction work.

Construction work on the new chair lift in Hlíðarfjall is now in progress and traffic of large diggers and trucks will increase in august. It is thus necessary to restrict traffic up the mountain above Strýta lodge from the 6th of august for safety reasons. This closure is temporary. The bike park and its trails are still open and you can take he lift to Strýta lodge on the summer opening days but all traffic above Strýta lodge is banned.

These precautions are necessary to insure the safety of all and that the construction process can proceed as planned. We thank you for your understanding and ask you to obey the instructions from our staff and respect signage and closures
