Summer Activities in Hlíðarfjall 2020

The mountain Hlíðarfjall is one of the prime skiing areas of Iceland. Akureyri ski resort is located just 10 minutes drive from the center of the town and is a great area for mountain biking and hiking during summer. Cyclists can take their bikes with them in the lift, and those who only want to go up to enjoy the fantastic view over Akureyri and Eyjafjörð in Strýtuskála can purchase tickets both up with the lift and back down.
The chairlift, Fjarkinn, will be open from Thursday to Sunday every weekend from 9th July until 30th August. Lift tickets can be purchased at the lift and and also online on Hlíðarfjall website, http://www.hlidarfjall.is/en
