Swimming and skiing during the elementary school winter break

Akureyrarbær invites primary and secondary school students with legal residence in Akureyri to swim and ski during the primary school winter break.
On Thursday, February 23, and Friday, February 24, primary and secondary school students can go to the ski lifts and swimming pools of Akureyri free of charge.
Students have to provide ID numbers and school at the reception desk, and secondary school students in VMA, MA, and MTR who have legal residence in Akureyri present their student IDs.
Note that the kids need to have a ski card or buy one for 1,100 ISK for the ski lifts. These cards are available at the Hlíðarfjall ticket office and at the N1 gas station.
