Summer opening in Hliðarfjall

Our chairlift Fjarkinn will be running from 15th July until 5th September.

We have four bike paths in the mountain which were prepared by bike association Akureyri (Suðurgil, Andrés, Hjalteyrin, Ævintýraleið) and then there are also three others, two paths are starting by Stryta and one by the lift. All these paths lead into Glerárdalur. For those who are walking, it is ideal to stop in Strýta and enjoy the view of Akureyri and Eyjafjörður. From Strýtuskáli there is a marked hiking trail up to the top of Hlíðarfjall mountain.
