Hlíðarfjall Akureyri - Ski Area and Outdoor Paradise

The plan is for the summer season to run from July 4 to September 5. During this period, it will be possible to use Fjarkinn, our lower chairlift, to get up the mountain, whether to enjoy the bike park or to hike around the mountain and enjoy the views. There are no plans to open Fjallkona this summer due to maintenance work.

Opening hours:

• Tuesdays and Thursdays from 16:30–20:30
• Saturdays from 10:00–16:00

In addition, there will be three long weekends when it will be open from Thursday through Sunday:

• July 16–19 (Enduro and Downhill & Enduro competition weekend)
• July 30 – August 2 (Merchants’ Weekend holiday)
• August 27–30 (Downhill competition weekend)

The opening date is subject to change, of course — the weather will determine whether we can open on July 4, but we hope June will be warm and nice !
